I hail from the splendid city of Bath in the United Kingdom where I enjoyed a delightful childhood before my parents dragged me off to Africa, a continent I was told was, ‘not for sissies’

A questionable education followed along with a rather fetching suntan and, after finishing my university degree I entered the interesting world of advertising. My career began at the supremely creative agency, Grey, Phillips, Bunton, Mundel & Blake, laying the foundations for decades of writing copy for some of the world’s leading brands.

Stints with Grey International, Young & Rubicam, Cato Johnson and Ogilvy & Mather in London followed before being transferred (banished?) to the Land of The Long White Cloud, aka, New Zealand.

It was here that I started up Ogilvy & Mather Direct with Robert Anderson, intrepid mountaineer and all-round raconteur where we built the Ogilvy brand into the leading agency in the country.

A rush of blood to the head saw me forge a path to opening up my own agency which bore the moniker, Logan Meo & Walters which prospered and grew until the lure of the big country, Australia, tempted us across the ditch.

Two decades later, after enduring the usual ups and downs and vagrancies of the advertising business I sold the company to Mcaan Ericsson and promptly headed to the tropical island of Bali where I have been cocooned in sloth and procrastination ever since!

During the long journey here I have been blessed with a more than tolerant partner and two wonderful daughters who are forging their own careers in London and Vancouver.

These days I rouse myself to write a novel every eighteen months and keep the wolf from the door by scribbling travel pieces for various international travel journals.

All in all, so far, I have been especially blessed.
